DON BOSCO YOUTH ANIMATION SOUTH ASIA(DBYASA)

Don Bosco Youth Animation South Asia (DBYASA) is the South Asian Regional Office of Salesians of Don Bosco situated in New Delhi. It coordinates various youth services carried out in all the Salesian Provinces in the region. Keeping in mind its goal of holistic youth ministry, the centre has a team of experts in various dimensions of Salesian Youth Ministry. It carries out research on youth issues, develops policies for Salesian settings, and networks all the youth services and youth development processes in South Asia. With a motto to ‘Educate, Engage and Empower’ young people the Centre prepares and trains Youth animators and Leaders to help the young to become stakeholders of their own development!

Don Bosco Youth Animation South Asia specialises in working with/for young people. DBYA-SA coordinates all types of Youth Services carried out in the Don Bosco Institutions in South Asia which include Schools, Higher Education Institutes, and Technical, non-formal, service to young at risk, short-term skill development, Youth Centres, Counselling, career guidance and Job placement.

Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu

Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) is an affiliated first grade college of Tiruvalluvar University, Vellore Dt. The college was founded in 1951 by Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Carreno, SDB. It is a Catholic Christian Minority Institution of Higher Education established and administered by the Religious Congregation of Salesians of Don Bosco. The College became autonomous in 1987.The College had been accredited by NAAC (3rd Cycle) with CGPA of 3.43/4 at ‘A’ Grade in 2013. Under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Recourse Development, Govt. of India has ranked our college in the year 2017 as one of the top 100 colleges in India. The College has 18 UG Programmes, 14 PG Programmes, 19 Research Programmes and 2 PG Diploma Programmes and has around 4800 students. The motto of the College is “Ad Omne Opus BonumInstructi”.  This Latin inscription means “Ready for every good work”.

Sacred Heart College caters to majority of the marginalized and first-generation graduates from rural and tribal areas. The infrastructure and ICT services have enabled the students and faculties to ensure greater learning. The college has a vast experience in research, consultancy and training at national and international level and organized conferences, seminars and workshops at national and international level. The college has national and international level collaborations with universities, industries and community based organizations. Faculty and students exchange programs, collaborative researches have been done at national and international level.
